As a midwife in Fort Mill, I provide prenatal care to expecting mothers and will make several visits with you before the birth of your baby.
Consistent prenatal care is an essential part of ensuring you and your baby’s health before you give birth. As a midwife in the Fort Mill, South Carolina area, I provide prenatal care to expecting mothers and conduct regularly scheduled visits before the birth of the baby. Once my clients have made the decision to work together, prenatal visits will be scheduled:
- Every four weeks until 28 weeks gestation
- Every two weeks from 28 weeks to 36 weeks gestation
- Every week from 36 weeks gestation until the baby is born
During each of these visits, we will discuss how to enjoy a healthy pregnancy, which may include going over suggestions for alleviating pregnancy-related discomforts, nutritional counseling, and discussing your desires for the upcoming birth of your baby. I will also check baby’s position, check your vital signs, and listen to fetal heart tones to confirm you and your baby’s wellbeing. Additionally, I can provide referrals for other services, such as childbirth education classes, ultrasounds, and backup medical care.
