As a midwife in Fort Mill, I often notice how mothers who have the most positive labor & birth experience educate themselves beforehand concerning their many options.
I believe the ability to give birth naturally is in all women, and I am committed to helping expecting mothers make choices that work for each individual family and their unique situations. I believe that a mother’s choices in how to labor & birth her baby should be honored, so she feels empowered and confident in her abilities not only as she gives birth, but also after the baby is born.
As a midwife helping those in the Fort Mill, South Carolina area, I have witnessed that the mothers who have the most positive labor & birth experiences educate themselves well beforehand about their options for birth, choose who they want to attend the birth and where they want to give birth to their baby, and ensure that they are supported by their families and birth attendants at all times. I ask my clients to strive for optimal health and nutrition and make informed decisions before labor begins.
While many mothers choose to give birth in a hospital, I deliver many babies safely in their mother’s home. If you choose to go through labor & birth in the comfort of your own home, I will support you in this decision, provide guidance and instruction and do the best I can to ensure a home birth is a positive experience for you, your partner, and any others who you chose to be in attendance at the time of your baby’s birth.
