I am committed to educating expecting mothers about labor & birth.
As a midwife, I believe women have the gift to give birth naturally, and I am dedicated to helping expecting mothers make informed choices that work for their individual family situation and personal desires. I also believe that a mother should be able to make her own choices when it comes to labor & birth, so she feels confident and empowered during pregnancy, during birth, and postpartum.
I have witnessed many births throughout the Clover, South Carolina area, and the women who feel best about their labor & birth experiences are educated about the experience as much as possible beforehand and make confident choices about how the experience will unfold. Before labor begins, I ask the expecting mothers I work with to strive for optimal nutrition and health, so they have the opportunity to make the choices they want well before labor begins.
I have helped many mothers give birth in a hospital setting, but I can also help deliver babies safely in the comfort of their mother’s home. If you choose to have a home birth, which I do recommend, I will support you in this decision and provide the guidance and instruction needed to ensure the experience is a positive, safe one.
